Plastic Injection Molding Data Acquisition and Analysis.

We provided hardware and software to characterize the operation of producing plastic parts. Direct interface to pressure sensors, thermocouples, and linear position sensors along with custom software was developed to determine peak operating efficiencies. Image acquisition was also developed to properly document each piece ejected from the machine. Triggering was used to trigger the camera just before the part was ejected. The data for each cycle can be overlaid for quick comparison or each cycle can be displayed individually along with a pre-stored optimum cycle profile. The machine can then be adjusted to give optimum performance quickly and easily.
